South Barn Solutions is committed to playing an active role in the local community. To this end it currently supports a local charity by providing resources (time and funds), and allows it’s executive time to fulfil the obligations of Governor at Sandwich Technology School.
The Chillenden Rainbow Appeal
The Rainbow Appeal was set up in 2003 to help raise funds for the parish church of All Saints in Chillenden, and for the Village Hall. At the time major repairs and renovation work was identified for both buildings and it was felt essential to engage the whole village community in the fundraising effort. The village is in fact technically a “hamlet” due to its size, population and facilities, so it was vital that this project was fully recognised as essential to help the village maintain a sense of place. As of the summer of 2007 over £100K has been raised through fundraising events and grants, and work on the church is almost complete..
